KIDE was born from the MSCHIC CEO´s passion to develop the first genuine design cosmetics line in the world. The line was to combine true eco-luxury cosmetics; purest minerals with diamonds, world famous Finnish design and beautiful eco-friendly wooden packaging.
The design of the KIDE packaging is the product of the world- renowned Finnish designers´ love for the nature and the unique qualities of wood. Design agency Musuta´s idea was to create, for the first time in cosmetics history, experiences when seeing and touching the packaging. To make total design.
First KIDE packaging samples were made by hand in October 2008 by the colleague and partner of the world famous Alvar Aalto, carpenter Kari Virtanen. In 2009 KIDE was launched successfully to the global audience at the Cosmoprof fair in Bologna.
